The K2 Universal 9″ Tile Hook w/Buty is a roof attachment bracket engineered for mounting solar panel racking systems — especially K2’s CrossRail series — on tile roofs. It features a single-piece welded aluminum hook with a 9-inch base plate, offering a wide footprint for maximum adjustability to position lag screws directly into roof rafters. The “w/Buty” variant comes with pre-installed butyl flashing (EverSeal) on the base to help seal roof penetrations without the need for additional sealant and reduce potential water intrusion. The kit includes lag screws with EPDM washers and T-Bolt/T-nut hardware for reliable attachment to rails. This hook meets UL 2703 requirements for structural and bonding compliance and fits most common tile roof profiles (clay, concrete, S-tile, etc.).
